A Brief History of Science - Gribbin, Bradley Stewart, Dawkins et alI was commissioned by John Gribbin to write the chemistry section of his excellent resume of science. It was a fun job but, at the same time, quite a tough task pull together all the most important chemical discoveries, predict the path of future chemistry, and avoid textbook-style chemical cliches. I think we pulled it off but I never did find out how well the book sold.
