What is RSS?
RSS usually stands for "Really Simple Syndication" - it is a format for distributing and gathering news and other content across the Web. Many newspapers, magazines, and other websites now run RSS feeds, but it is in the realm of web logs, blogs, that RSS comes into its own, allowing readers to keep up to date with the latest posts and comments on a blog either in a standalone RSS reader (an aggregator) or via the special RSS sections of the various blog and news pages that you can personalise. Sciencebase.com offers a range of category-based RSS feeds and you can aggregate them, syndicate them on your own website, or read them in your My Yahoo!, My MSN, Bloglines, Newsgator.
