Chemicals feature prominently in the list of traditional wedding anniversary gifts. In fact, if you look at the conventional list you will find nothing that is not made entirely of chemicals. Paper? Carbon, hydrogen and oxygen! Cotton? Pretty much the same! Iron? Well, that's made of iron! Lace? See cotton! Nevertheless. the wedding gift list is still not quite to my chemical taste.
