100s More Science Tweeps

Regular readers will recall my original scientwists list, which started out citing 100 of my scientific twitter friends working in and around science, science tweeps some called them, cien-tw-ificos. Well, that list grew from early January 2009 until by mid-April there were more than 400 members. As of June 9, there are 501!
Some were invited, some were added as I found them, and some were added on request either through a tweet, a comment on the original post or when someone retweeted the scientwist link. If I missed anyone I should have added let me know. If you changed your twitter avatar let me know and I’ll update the page.
Feel free to recommend scientwists even if you aren’t one yourself.
What would also be nice would be to mash up all the science tweeps with my scientific locations map, but that’s a project for another day.
As Eric Berger (ChronSciGuy) pointed out to me via twitter Direct Message, my initial few hundred scientwists is probably around 10% of the actual number of scientwists out there and the number is growing all the time. Do let me know if you would like to be on the list, preferably by retweeting the list on twitter. This is the link to use – http://bit.ly/scientwists Click here for a prefilled retweet.
