Having worked my way through this book and assuming I already knew everything Hely was telling me, I checked the functioning of the antivirus software on my machine and discovered to my horror that it couldn't even spot an attempt to run the virus test file! I quickly switched to the recommended software in the book, which is free and found not only the test virus but several latent trojans sitting in a backup of my email folder. So, be warned even if you think you're software savvy and have full protection that might not be the case.
