Good list, it’s true. The most wasted opportunity bloggers indulge in is not replying to comments. People make the effort to type in a point or a question or even an opposing point and then mostly it goes ignored.

Is that right? I usually try to make the effort to reply. I also tend to remove spam pretty swiftly and for comment spam that actually makes an interesting point I usually approve them and then remove the offending components. You wouldn’t believe how many comment spammers try to slip through the net by placing a joke or an otherwise interesting comment alongside their various links to pyramid schemes, online prescription sites, and ads for pictures of nude people doing things with plasticized polymer resin objects.
