Comment Policy
Comments are welcome on this site, in fact, I positively welcome the feedback and encourage you to participate in discussions. Please don’t be put off by a lack of comments on any particular post, if you have something to say, do say it.
I ask that you remember that the site is public, it’s not a private forum, children are often present as are sensitive souls who are easily offended by expletives and coarse language, so please keep it clean and treat other commenters and authors with respect. Constructive criticism is, of course, welcome, as we all benefit from such advice. However, rude or obnoxious comments and spam will not be approved. Please make your comment pertinent to a particular post, if you simply want to say something, use the guestbook or search the site for a relevant post.
Comments are treated in the conventional manner as “letters to the editor” and as such may be published “as is” or else edited for brevity and house style and to preclude potentially libelous or otherwise defamatory statements following standard editorial/journalistic code. Comments are not considered private correspondence and may be quoted wholly or in part on this site or in other publications. Copyright in comments will held by the current owner of Sciencebase, David Bradley Science Writer.
Sciencebase reserves the right not to publish any given comment. In particular, abusive, racist, or otherwise discriminatory, comments are not tolerated nor are any that are in obvious breach of the law. Anonymous comments will be up-moderated only if they add something useful to the discussion and in the case that they do, they may be used in follow-up articles or posts. Moreover, copyright in anonymous comments reverts to the owner of Sciencebase.
The editing of any given comment for whatever reason is not intended to reflect in any way on the character of the person leaving that comment.
As a deliberate irony and because this policy is not open to general discussion, comments are disabled on this page. If you do not wish your comments to be subject to this policy please do not comment on this website.
Thank you
