Thanks for the article - I'm a freelance writer for SEO articles and HATE coming up with headlines. It's the hardest part of writing the article for me. And although I like to play with striking headlines (such as yours with this article), I have to be modest in my "attempts to entice" with more conservative customers. Then again, there are clients that love wacky headlines. Finding a happy medium is usually my struggle. I certainly have no limit to my imagination and quirkiness.

What a luxury - having someone write your headlines for you! (Although if it was a title for a book, I'd harbor deep unforgettable resentment.) Your examples were very refreshing.

Glad I stopped here to kick start my writing today! (I'm currently stuck on writing a headline.) And I found tons of links I can use for homeschooling my daughter! You made my morning...

Will they? Because the headlines are sometimes misleading? Perhaps. Most of these items were in print publications so you get to see the headline, strapline, intro and text all on the same page anyway. I don't think it's really cheating, just enticement...

Glad you like the RSS logo, I get bored seeing the same one day after day while updating the site, so like to change it occasionally. If I could embed a hologram in the page, that would be the ultimate.

I guess the readers who are actually not interested in science will feel cheated after they go on.

BTW, nice RSS icon, again. I am considering keeping a collection of your RSS icon versions.
