Because the headlines are sometimes misleading? Perhaps. Most of these items were in print publications so you get to see the headline, strapline, intro and text all on the same page anyway. I don't think it's really cheating, just enticement... Glad you like the RSS logo, I get bored seeing the same one day after day while updating the site, so like to change it occasionally.
