A Little Bit of Housekeeping
Proud to report that Sciencebase received a Good Housekeeping Site of the Day award today! From a quick glance at the site, which seems to have an archive of future awardees as well as those already given, it doesn’t look like it’s actually anything to do with the eponymous magazine, but it’s still nice to get some recognition for the site anyway.
If anyone can tell me who Good Housekeeping (not the magazine) actually are, I’d be interested to learn about them. Apparently, their hosting system has changed they were DailyinBox.com but that service is now run by BeliefNet.

My review: Beliefnet is open to everyone of all religions and spiritual beliefs. You can set up a prayer circle, a memorial, a wedding album, a birth announcement, etc. There are dozens of message boards to meet people and discuss issues such as grandparenting, sexual ethics, care-giving, entertainment, pain management, cloning, cancer support, death and grief, and many more subjects. If you’re over 50 there’s a board for you, if you’re in your teens there’s more boards for you. There are hundreds of articles to read on the many channels ranging from “angels and guides” to “health and healing” to “morality” to “science”. If you like quizzes Beliefnet has heaps, from examining your soul to trivia challenges. There are blogs to read, free newsletters, e-cards, astrology, you name it — Beliefnet’s got it.
