Oh Purleese!
Martin G of Ohpurleese.com got in touch to tell me about his wonderfully ironic website…I couldn’t find mention of Alanis Morisette but then the true irony of her eponymously ironic song is that the lyrics lack any irony whatsoever, (rain on your wedding day is not ironic it’s unfortunate, ensuring all the guests wear storm-proof clothing instead of mo(u)rning suits and then it turning out fine is ironic). Perhaps the ultimate irony is that the lyrics aren’t specifically ironic, thus making the song precisely so!
