Just to let you know, it appears that the site involved is down now. Hopefully that’s the end of it. If you have any problems you need help with, feel free to drop me a line using my site’s feedback form, I’ll help any way that I can.

    Good luck!

That’s great! Presumably the owners saw that post and took heed, they had previously ignored my complaints by email, so I guess it required something a little more drastic to kick them into action.

Thanks for the offer of future assistance

    Dear David,

Really sorry for the case. I was not aware in the beginning since I just played around with the RSS tools. I was experimenting how effective the RSS based news update in increasing the page rank. Yes, I confessed I put some ads overthere at the same time. Actually, If you notice, there was always a direct link to the RSS source in each post. So the interested reader can visit the author site for full article reading. In our case, perhaps your blog’s RSS mode allow full access to the article, not to the excerpt only as other RSS sources.

One thing I should say that I never received your complaints by email. I just read your post yesterday, and soon I put the site temporarily offline. If I received that earlier, of course I would do necessary actions in the very earliest time.

Anyway, let’s just consider that I did the wrong thing. For that, I do apologize. If it is OK with you, I will remove all posting that come from your blog’s RSS and put the site on back. But if you want me to totally close the site, I will leave the site off foreever.

That’s all from me and again I do apologize for being your copyright ignorant..

    Hope to hear from you…

Okay. Issue resolved. Not sure where those emails went. They were definitely sent (weeks ago actually!). As to RSS feeds feeding too much. The usual approach to RSS syndication is that the webmaster at the other end controls how much is displayed regardless of what is being fed from this end. Anyway, like I say, issue resolved. We can all move on.

    thx
