Think Zinc
An international team of scientists has created a new isotope of the element zinc, zinc-54. They report their results in: [nucl-ex/0505016] First observation of 54Zn and its decay by two-proton emission. the discovery could help explain exactly how positively charged protons stay together in the atomic nucleus.
