What's New Page for Sciencebase (Archived as of 2006-11-08)
by David Bradley
08-11-06 Added Cambridge library online resources page for local people. Of course, your library will offer similar resources, you'll probably need your membership card to access them from home, work, or school.
01-11-06 We added a translation plugin to the blog and subsequently the static components of the site, but a as Chinese blogger Andrew Sun pointed out, "The Chinese version is funny. It's another Google toy. This is not a reliable multi-language translator, but an experiment with translation in a science context, which can still be valuable." Another reader from France told us that the translation into French is ludicrous. So, this experiment has been relegated to the foot of the navigation in the blog section only. Interested readers can see it there for a few days more, but it's not likely to stay for very much longer, especially if more readers point out the problems with machine translation.
